The Certolux line of luminaires began, like all good products, as a response to fill a void in the marketplace. There was a lack of specification-grade luminaires that could meet the needs and withstand the demanding environments in the specialty lighting area. In many cases there are no direct equivalents to Certolux products to be found elsewhere in the market.
Certolux used the knowledge and experience gained through Visioneering Corp. and it's 55 year history, to produce a series of lighting fixtures and accessories with the finest quality and highest standards. The Certolux mission is to provide high quality luminaires for specialty environments at fair market value, using modern methods of design, engineering and manufacturing that will meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
Certolux successfully utilizes cutting edge software and manufacturing equipment combined with years of experience to continually expand product offerings, and manufacture the best solutions to meet the specific needs of the customers.
The name CERTOLUX comes from a combination of CERTO: the Italian noun for Certainty or Sureness of Quality, and LUX: Latin for Light and the SI derived unit of luminance.

From a design concept to the finish product, and all under one roof, Visioneering Corp. was founded as a fluorescent lighting manufacturer in 1952. Over the years Visioneering has manufactured a diverse range of products including electronic components, hi-fi components, solid state ballasts and photoelectric controls. The company has never lost sight of its roots in lighting and is now Canada's largest independent lighting manufacturer. Visioneering still maintains the capability to manufacture almost any sheet metal product.
Visioneering manufactures a wide range of lighting and non-lighting products for customers around the world in our modern 210,000 square foot plant and head office in Toronto. Certolux is the latest division of Visioneering, and has already made a significant impact in the specialty lighting market.
Visioneering employs approximately 200 people and values the long-term relationships that have been developed with our employees over the years. The average employee at Visioneering has been with us for 10 years. Production supervisors have been with the company for over 25 years. We are proud to have third generation employees working at the company.
